14 Shevat
Ok. Now there are two donkeys. I have managed to pack everything with room to spare. There is still Yoshi’s stuff to go, but there is plenty of room. Really! Rivkah is hopeful there will be room to ride when her legs get tired. I told her not to count on it. I let her try on her new dress. She tied it with the embroidered sash she made when Miriam was here. She swayed and swished and said, “I look like a princess, don’t I Mummy?” I had to agree, she looked gorgeous! Shmuli was worried about his chickens. Who would look after them while we are away? We have arranged for Yoshi’s folks to feed them. Rivkah thinks little Miriam will love to look after the sick one, I think she has cared for one or two of her own, so it will be in good hands. Yoshi and Shmuli returned filthy again today. And Shmuel wonders why I have to pack so much! How else does he think we can keep him looking respectable for the whole week?
